Undergraduate Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Core competencies in discrete mathematics, calculus, data structures, programming (C++), and computer organization are recommended.
Test Scores: Official GRE scores or an expected test date is required for all applicants with an undergraduate GPA under 3.0. Applicants may be eligible for a GRE waiver if they satisfy any of the following:
- Four or more years of prior professional full-time work experience in a technical or related field
- A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or greater, with a quantitative or technical relevant degree, from an accredited U.S. institution
- Graduated in good standing from a relevant Syracuse University undergraduate degree program
- Previous master’s degree
